ABOUT US

John Klingelhoffer and Nancy Dunlop play eclectic duets featuring harmonies, guitar, and flute, ranging from classic rock to Americana to John's and Nancy's originals. They played together in Sons of the New Amish (SONA) for five years before becoming a musical duo, and are both still in SONA today. Nancy's lyrics, vocals, and flute are featured on two tracks on The Tonellis album "The Whiskey Priest", which is beautifully mixed and produced with the contributions of many talented musicians. Check it out on YouTube!

SONA has played at venues and events including Star Union Spirits, Fitzgerald’s Exposure, Josephine’s, Friendly Tap, Miss Kitty’s, Starved Rock, Robert’s Roadhouse, Red Line Tap, Mooseheart, Grace Street Tap, Reggie’s Rock Club, Lunar Brewing, Underground Lounge, Fuller’s Pub, Bar Louie, Glen Ellyn Arts Festival, Ninth Street Pub, Honky Tonk BBQ, and the Wheaton Historical Society.

Nancy and John met in Kindergarten and grew up along the Chicago and Northwestern WESTLINE train line. They got their musical partnership on track in 2013.
